The EF Efekta™ System boasts learning components and study tools that will help you achieve on-going results before, during and after your course.
Expert consultation starts at home
For a successful course you need support from day one. That’s why we provide expert course planning. Then we equip you with a pre-course, pre-departure tools and a coach to guide you on your journey.
1. SUPPORT EQUALS SUCCESS
A consultation will assess your language abilities, needs and expectations – key to finding the right course. Once enrolled you’ll be assigned a language coach who will call you to help you plan your learning goals.
2. ILAB PRE-COURSE
Prepare at your own pace with our iLab precourse. Take our Travel or Survival English Courses to make the most out of your time abroad. Learn about your host city and meet future classmates in our iClub community.
On your first day at your EF school, you will take the Efekta™ Fluency Test, to accurately identify your study level as well as your strengths & weaknesses. Using this information, a personal study plan is designed for you.
Your EF Academic Advisor will check in with you periodically to make sure your goals coincide with your progress. They’ll give you feedback from a variety of sources, giving you a clearer picture of your development.
Adding a whole new dimension to your course, SPINs allow you to make your course your own. Study topics that genuinely appeal to you while working your way to fluency!
By using our very own EF textbooks and dynamic curriculum you benefit from our over 40 years of experience and expertise. Your EF teacher has unlimited resources to draw from in order to meet your personal needs.
Your teacher will assign tutorials for you to complete in the iLab. Work on pronunciation, accent reduction, grammar or listening comprehension. Reinforce your face-to-face lessons – key to lasting success.
The key to a successful course is flexibility. That’s why we constantly monitor your progress with iTracker. By always knowing where you stand, your teacher can help you to optimize your studies as needed.
Your final EF test scores, your EF Course Certificate, along with any official language exams you take are excellent proof of all the progress you’ve made. They also are an attractive supplement to your CV.
We know that your time abroad is limited that is why our Activities Director is also always available to help you plan and book trips. The choice is yours – join a scheduled EF trip or venture out on your own!
Maintain your fluency or continue to make progress in the iLab. The free post-course is available from three to six months depending on your course. Plus, your language coach will also be phoning you to help set goals and plan your online study at home.
Keep in touch with your classmates through our exclusive EF community called iClub. Available through the iLab – it’s a great way to keep your new EF friends close. It is also a way to get to know other EF students and alumni from around the world!
