Intensive Chinese courses in China
An Intensive Chinese course is designed for students coming to China to learn Chinese as rapidly as possible, either for academic or professional reasons. You will have 32 Chinese lessons per week.

General Chinese courses in China
This course is carefully structured for students to progress one skill level every six weeks and designed for students looking to gain a sound understanding of the essential disciplines of the Chinese language through a well-rounded program. The General Chinese course is available in China for students of any level, from absolute beginners to advanced. You will have 26 Chinese lessons per week.

Basic Chinese course in China
Students who take a Basic Chinese course with EF will learn the fundamentals of understanding and speaking Chinese in practical situations, and still have plenty of time for relaxing and exploring. Combine a relaxing holiday in China with 20 morning and afternoon language lessons a week.

Chinese exam preparation courses
Whether your are preparing for a Chinese exam for entrance into university, for professional reasons, or simply to prove your own Chinese skills, you are likely to be preparing for the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi exam. China's Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi , also known as HSK or the Chinese Proficiency Test, is a standardized test designed and developed by the HSK Center of Beijing Language and Culture University to assess the Chinese language proficiency of non-native speakers of Chinese. There are 3 different versions: Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) Basic, Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) Elementary-Intermediate, Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) Advanced. EF offers Chinese exam preparation courses for all three HSK exams.

Accommodation in China

Our Chinese courses in China include two choices of lodging, either a Chinese homestay or a student residence. Most EF Homestay families in China offer a single room and plenty of opportunities to practice your budding new language skills. The single room in an EF Homestay is included in the course fee. If you are looking for independence and an international atmosphere, you may want to consider a student apartment, which are available upon request.
