In general South Africans are fun-loving and laid back and you will most certainly feel instantly at home as friendly faces welcome you everywhere. Families are characterized by strong family ties and are very involved in their community. Sports are a national interest and South Africans are fiercely proud of their teams whether it’s cricket, rugby or football.

Climate and Activities

The Republic of South Africa is located in the southern tip of the African continent and its coastline boarders both the Atlantic and the Indian Ocean. The diversity of the country offers all kind of adventures so if you like surfing, horseback riding, sand boarding, skiing or mountain biking there will always be great excursions and exciting out door activities for you to enjoy. South Africa is also the home to “the big five”: the elephant, the lion, the leopard, the rhinoceros and the African buffalo.
